Massimo Conio - Gastric ESD
An 84-year-old man with history of type 2 diabetes and cardiac disease presented in our clinic for anemia. An upper endoscopy showed a large mixed lesion (0IIa-0Is) located in the antrum. The pathological diagnosis of endoscopic biopsies was adenocarcinoma confined to the mucosa. The patient was unfit for surgery for his comorbidities. ESD with en bloc resection was performed. The ESD tissue specimens were pathologically diagnosed as adenocarcinoma confined to the mucosa. Resection margins were negative and there were no signs of lymphovascular invasion.
